Bringing relaxation to you.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: My house is not that big and I'm embarrassed about the mess. Where can you set up?
A1: This is YOUR home, as long as you are comfortable, don't even worry about me. Actually nothing really bothers me as long as my life isn't in danger. I live with kids, I step on Cheerios all day and find myself always cleaning up after them, so I'm pretty reasonable. As long as your home isn't covered in mold or something like that, I should be just fine.
As far as where to set up, I don't need a lot of room. I've massaged in tiny dressing rooms so I really don't need a lot of space. If you lie down on the floor with your arms out and there's still at least a foot until you hit something, that's enough room. Don't worry about anything, I'll figure it out!

Q2: I only want a relaxation massage, do I still have to fill out those forms?
A2: Yes please! As a Health Care Practitioner, even if you wanted me to just rub lavender oil on your back, I still need a Health History and Consent form filled out. I'm trained to know the effects of Massage Therapy on different conditions, so I need to know if any of those conditions exist, and I need it on paper.

Q3: Do you do other things during the massage (wink wink)
A3: As a Registered Massage Therapist, it is insulting for me to be asked if I do sexual favours. I believe everyone should enjoy the benefits of Massage Therapy so please understand that my services are strictly for therapeutic purposes only.

Q4: I would love for you to massage me at work but I don't know if my boss will be ok with it.
A4: Just let me know your boss' number and email and let me take care of it. I'll let your boss know how much your workplace will benefit with Massage Therapy being a part of your working day! I can even set up a seminar for everyone at your work about the benefits of Massage in the workplace.

Q5: Isn't "Mini RMT" an oxymoron? I like my massages strong and you're a small girl. Doesn't seem right to me.
A5: I am the pickiest person when it comes to a massage because I too like a strong massage, my back and shoulders are a mess!! And yes I've had strong massages from big male Massage Therapist but one of the STRONGEST massages came from a little oriental girl. Really, whether the therapist is small or big, skinny or muscular, it doesn't determine how strong your massage will be. Some therapists out there are afraid to give deep massages because they think they're hurting you. It's all in the technique. I'm small so I know the muscles in my arms and hands alone can't give a strong massage, but using my whole body weight and making sure my table is at the right height makes things easier for me and makes the massage stronger for you. I massage people 3 times my weight who love it so if you want to bring the challenge, I gladly accept!

Q6: I have young kids, and they are trouble if I'm not watching them for even a MINUTE! Can I still get a massage at home? No one else can watch them while you're here though =(
A6: Aren't you lucky I'm a mother! I've had to massage women with their infants in their car seat right next to me. I've also had mothers who's kids just asked me questions the whole time. I'm also a mother who received a massage while my almost 2-year old helped the therapist by working on my feet. I empathize with mothers, I know how much they stress. Our job at home is full-time with overtime and no vacation or sick days. I also know that we're a better mother once we're relaxed. Don't worry about the kids. Schedule the appointment during nap time, or once they've been fed, changed, etc. If you want to set up in their room while they sleep, I can do that. If you want to set up near their play room (or in the play room), I can do that. If you want to set up AWAY from them but have the baby monitor on, I can do that. If you want me to run upstairs and give your crying baby their pacifier while you still lay on the table, I can do that too. Just tell me what needs to be done, and you stay on the table and enjoy your moment of freedom :)

Q7: Have you massaged any famous people?
A7: Sure have! I've had the privilege of massaging backstage at some major concerts and have met famous athletes at golf tournaments. Book a massage and I'll tell you all about it!
